Randomly looking back on a funny moment

I remember, back in '06 a few classes from school, including mine, went on a school camp.

Where we went, the water restrictions were stage 4 (a very tight restriction at the time), so we were told this:

"If it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down."

Now, of course, this was followed with the mass ewwing and laughing. If you didn't get it, he was talking about the toilets.

However, after a few days, it seemed everyone was only flushing the "brown" down. So, a load of pee just sat fermenting in the toilet bowl.

The whole point of the phrase was to indicate that any "brown" should be flushed, and the "yellow" should be flushed every few times someone pees.

So, yeah, they took it way too literally.
